This worked out for Spongebob and I believe it would work out for everyone else, too. In my personal opinion it is always better to be safe than sorry and to go to the doctors when you are having problems. They say, “It’s just a cold,” or, “You have nothing to worry about, I just had something like that.” Although those who are close to us opinions matter, sometimes they are not in our best interest. Going even further into that point some of those friends even offer up their own diagnosis of what you are going through. This goes to show how easily it is to be persuaded by those closest to us just by one suggestion of a friend or relative. We have that one friend or family member who is telling us that doctors aren’t always right or that there is no need to go to the doctor. First off, I think it is true that we all have a “Patrick” in our life. There are very many connections in this episode that could be made to the discussions that we have been having in the class, but since I can only cover a few, I will discuss the ones that popped out to me the most. Obviously this doesn’t work so eventually after many different Patrick-made remedies Spongebob goes to the doctor with the help of his other friend Sandy and gets better immediately. Patrick says otherwise and describes the doctor’s office as a scary and lonely place and says that he will just operate on Spongebob instead. He is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke and first appears in Help Wanted. He is a naive and overweight pink sea star. He is SpongeBob's best friend as well as one of his two neighbors. He tells his good friend Patrick about it and says that he should go to the doctor. Patrick Star (born August 17), is the one of the ten main characters of the animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the main character of his own spin-off, The Patrick Star Show. This then turns his entire house freezing making poor Spongebob sick with the suds, a sponge disease that causes him to sneeze a large about of bubbles through his sponge holes. Spongebob wakes up late one night to get a midnight snack and accidentally leaves the fridge open. Specifically, I will be focusing on the episode in which Spongebob gets “the suds” and his pals try and help him out in order for him to get better.įor those of you who are unfamiliar with this episode here is a quick overview on what the episode is about. This week I decided to do something a little more serious so I decided to write a breakdown of Spongebob through a Communicating about Health standpoint.
